“The Phidian Horse: Art and Archaeology on the Acropolis” was first published in 1898. In the book, Phidias, one of the greatest sculptors of Antiquity, and his works are analysed. In addition to this technical analysis, the book also discusses the culture and history of Ancient Greece and other artefacts on the Acropolis of Athens. This edition has been prepared in faithful accordance with the original text. No abridgements, simplifications, or additions have been made.
